Nolwenn Drouet-Hoguet

With her Doctoral degree in population ecology, Masters degree in animal production in hot climates, and engineering degree in agricultural tecnhiques, Nolwen has solid experential background in these very fields in which Awely is developing. She has worked in Zimbabwe on a project to increase security in agricultural systems and the daily life of local communities living at the frontiers of protected areas through the mitigation of conflicts between people and animals. During four years in the field, she has also coordinated the tracking of spotted hyenas to better manage this predator in the national park of Hwange and its surroundings.
With her excellent skills in both communcations and the creation of educational tools, Nolwennn has contributed to an instructive portfolio on human-wildlife conflicts for the Africa Bio-Hub Trust and United Nations Food and Agricuture Organization. She has also prepared many reports and specialized documents, including a study on the current status of lion conservation in Tanzania for the IGF Foundation. Nolwenn is our program coordinator.
