To help local farmers chase elephants from their fields, the Red Caps in Zambia in collaboration with local hunters have developmed a truly spicy shotgun method! The use of chili powder instead of traditional powder in shotgun bullets has been tested with resounding success to keep the pachyderms out of cultivated fields. This project has been a partnership with SLCS, ZAWA and Awely. Our Red Caps recently presented this method during a workshop which gathered some twenty participants.
