Precise location: Manas National Park, 77 fringe villages south of Manas. Estimated population: 80.000

Covered area: 250 km²

Species involved: Asian elephants 

Target groups: Farmers living close to Manas National Park (high-conflict areas), women’s groups, secondary schools.

Partner organisation: AARANYAK

Overall objectives :
•Eliminate human casualties caused by elephants.
•Reduce damages to houses and granary stores by crop-raiding elephants. 
•Support community based crop-guarding systems, and decrease illegal human activities in the Manas National Park.
