THE RED CAPS IN ZAMBIA


Precise location: Lupande Game Management Area, east of South Luangwa National Park.

Covered area: 2000 km²

Species involved: Elephants, hippos, buffaloes, baboons. 

Target groups: Farmer groups in high conflicts’ areas, teachers in secondary schools, rural villagers.

Partner organisation: SLCS

Overall objectives:
•Decrease conflicts between farmers and wildlife.
•Limit retaliation killing and poaching, and develop protection measures for crop fields and houses, and people. 
•Create awareness of the importance of wildlife and conservation.
