Félix was born in 1979 in Basankusu. He is married and has four children. He studied mathematics and physics until 2003, then worked as a teacher in a number of Basankusu’s schools. Whilst working as a teacher, he also transported and sold bushmeat in villages in the region. Once Awely’s Green Caps had raised his awareness about nature conservation, he joined them in 2011 in order to act as a point of contact with the hunters who were responsible for the illegal hunting of bonobos. In 2013, after training in information technology in Basankusu, he joined the newly independent GACEBB team as project coordinator and manager of their educational initiatives.
