Jean-Philippe Agnese

Secretary

Animal lover, passionate about nature and the all living beings, Jean-Philippe as child wanted to become a veterinarian in Africa, India, or Aisa because he was already interested in their native cultures. During the past twenty years, he has been involved in cinematographic and audiovisual production. Being successively producer, director, and screenwriter, he has had to deal with communications in business, then in film and the documentary. Through his Koi Productions, he has initiated and created projects for Arte and France Télévision, devoted to developments of alternative education and agriculture methods, investigating the mechanics and collapse of eco-systems, as well as the conditions under which animals and human beings might co-exist. Also, for the internet (Entretiens Avec des Terriens), he has done a series of interviews with agricultural producers who are particularly respectful of the land they work. He collaborated with Tristan Lecompte on a book titled Et Si On Remontait Dans L’arbre?, ( 2015, aux Editions de la Mer Salée) . He has also created a program of artistic free expression for children through the NGO Art in All of Us. Now, almost retired from the film studios, he lives in the Cher with his family (animals included !), where he works as a “gardener-peasant”, growing completely naturally japanese vegetables for traditional restaurants, along with aromatic herbs for the local market.
